Explorers Camp (Ages 5-6)

Captivate Explorers Camp is a full -day, integrated camp which shows how “Science and Art fit together.” Hands on learning is the core of the program, and exercise and social emotional learning are well balanced with age-appropriate academics. Our camp program fosters the development of the “whole child”.

2025 Themes for Captivate Explorers Camp

Lil Paleontologist

Campers will excavate dinosaur fossils using tools, observe real fossil specimens, make a trace fossil from clay and more. What kid doesn’t LOVE dinosaurs? We will learn all about these incredible prehistoric animals and the science of what happened to the dinosaurs. This is a remarkable camp experience with daily fine art projects, storytime, outside playtime and community building

Lil Space Explorer (NEW)

This is a stellar camp where kids will launch rockets, paint nebulae and galaxies, explore the planets of the solar system, and build a comet. Fine arts and children's literature will enhance the understanding of science concepts. The little astronauts will get plenty of exercise too during PE and recess time.

Lil Ocean Explorer

Campers will “dive” into the wonders of the oceans. Make scientific observations and drawings of real ocean invertebrates specimens- like starfish and sponges and marine snail shells. Learn about creeping crabs, floating jellyfish, swimming schools of fish, sneaky sharks and magnificent marine mammals. This unforgettable and impactful camp experience includes daily fine art such as painting magnificent ocean art projects, sea life storytime, outside playtime and community building.

‘Lil Engineer

Love to build? This camp is for you! Your camper will learn to think and problem solve like an engineer. Build and test aircrafts, boats and autos in this fun, hands-on camp. Draw “engineering diagrams” of your cool designs. This S.T.E.A.M. experience includes daily fine art projects, storytime, outside playtime and community building.
