How are you dealing with COVID-19?
Science Smart Kids Inc. (Camp Captivate) takes the safety and health of our community very seriously, and we have decided to eliminate all physical (in person) enrichment classes at school sites for 2020-2021 at this time. We believe that virtual classes are the safest and most responsible alternative to in-person programming until a vaccine becomes widespread. Learn more about our strategy to deal with the COVID-19 situation.
Where are you located?
Location: virtual (from home)
What are the maximum and minimum class sizes?
Max class size: 10
Minimum class size: 6
How long are the sessions?
Classes are sold in 6-8-week sessions by season: Fall Session (October 1 – November 24), Winter Session (December 1 – February 5) and Spring Session (March 1 – May 4). Most classes meet once a week, but some of our fitness classes meet twice a week. We offer one class, called “Little Learners” that meets daily. When you register, you will see the dates that the class meets and the dates which are holidays.
How do we get materials for the camp?
The Little Learners class has custom curated materials which will be available by curbside pick up in Santa Clara or shipping, with one kit needed for each session; there is a separate charge for this kit. All other classes will provide a suggested shopping list, and materials are needed for most classes.
How much parental involvement is needed?
The amount of parent involvement is a function of age, and younger students will most likely need parental help from time to time. Read the Tech Tips for Success (link)
